Full Details

  • *Wood Choice

    Choose what kind of you wood you'd like your piece made out of. You can learn more about each different kind of wood. Woods shown are their natural tones. Different finish options are available on all wood types.

    *Knots

    All tops will have major knots filled. Available to be filled in with black epoxy on the whole piece.

  • Bedframe

    Choose either the complete bed or headboard only. If headboard only is requested there will not be any hardware included with the hardware to attach a frame. You will be responsible for attaching any frame to the headboard.

    Bed Size

    Available in a Twin, Full, Queen, or King size bed.

    Split Posts

    Available with a split post. Splitting the post is highly recommended for taller beds so they can be ensured to reach your room.

    Footboard Size

    Available in a standard high footboard or choice of low footboard.

    Low Footboard Choice

    Choose the style of low footboard you would like.

    Storage Option

    Available with storage platform unit (no boxspring required). Comes standard with footboard shown with bed, choice low footboard if chosen, or with only the headboard and platform if "headboard only" is chosen. Platform choices change based on bed size.

    Optional Specialty Finishes

    Please choose if you would like any optional specialty finishes on your piece. You can choose one or more specialty finishes you'd like your piece to have. You can learn more about each different kind of finish.

    Paints and unfinished are also available. Use the message form to receive a quote.

    Distressing

    Distressing is a mixture of different techniques to create the look of antique furniture that has aged naturally into a beautifully patina.  

    Top Coat

    Our top coat is standard with Formaldehyde however you can request for a Formaldehyde free top coat. Formaldehyde free top coats are not bonded as well and are considered weaker than our standard top coat.

    Sheen

    Standard top coat is 30 sheen (semi-gloss). Available with your choice sheen level.

    Note: The natural oils from your hands can rebuff parts of the top coat making it glossy again on lower sheens.

    Optional Two-Tone Finish

    Solid stains are standard. Two-tone finish, the mix of two different stains, is available. If a premium finish is involved with a two-tone appearance, the premium finish must be chosen as your primary stain choice.

    *Two-Tone Description

    Select the primary stain as your choice and then describe how you would like your piece finished. If a premium finish is desired with a two-tone look be sure to select that premium finish as your primary choice.

    Does the high footboard on the Flush Mission Bed come in the style of the second picture with the curved feet and bottom similar to what you refer to as the Carlisle style? Also, I am trying to match the bedroom set that I already have. Can the stain be custom mixed? I am looking for an Espresso color on Cherry wood, King size version?

    The higher footboard would the standard one that is shown in the first image. Unfortunately we do not offer mixed stains. The closest to a Espresso color we offer is Old Museum or Onyx.

    All of our beds besides platform beds are designed to need both a boxspring and mattress.

    CONSTRUCTION

    • Each piece is made-to-order and our craftsmen will follow your specifications from start to finish.
    • ⅝" thick Wormy Maple drawer boxes have lots of character and rounded top edges.
    • Dovetailed front and back drawer boxes ensure a sturdy foundation for storing clothing.
    • Solid hardwood tops and sides for unmatched quality.
    • Soft close hinges standard on all doors prevent doors from slamming shut and instead smoothly close on their own.
    • All tops below eye level (front two corners) will come slightly rounded.
    • Dovetail slat construction with 4 slats per bed
    • King size beds have four support legs
    • Queen size beds have two support legs
    • Full/twin beds do not require support legs
    • Brackets are made of steel, providing the strongest construction
    • Bracket is fastened to the head & foot boards by two hardened steel lag bolts
    • Brackets have a ledge on the bottom for the rail to rest on, so all the weight is on the bracket
    • Requires a boxspring or form of foundation (IE bunkie boards) for mattress

    CARE OF SOLID WOOD FURNITURE

    • Place your furniture away from radiators, fireplaces, and heating ducts.
    • Position furniture out of direct sunlight or adjust blinds to avoid hour after hour of direct sunlight.
    • Control humidity to 40%–45%. In winter use a humidifier, in summer use a dehumidifier or air conditioner.
    • Use coasters with non-scratching bottoms. Use padding under all sharp, hot, or cold objects.
    • Avoid using nail polish remover, alcohol, and other solvents near or on furniture.
    • Dust carefully with a soft cloth, following the grain pattern of the wood. Use an old T-shirt, baby diaper or cheesecloth that has been laundered to remove the sizing.

    ROUTINE CLEANING AND CARE

    • Dust often to remove everyday abrasive particles from wood surfaces.
    • Consider cleaning with a mild non-alkaline soap and water. Use the suds in a damp sponge or cloth, but be sure to pre-test the solution on an out-of-sight section to make sure it doesn’t damage the finish. Dry immediately with a soft cloth and buff lightly, following the grain.
    • Don't wax or use any polish that contains any silicones! Catalyzed heat and moisture resistant finishes don’t need additional polish, but if you want to use a polish we recommend Parker & Bailey's Furniture Cleaner.
