Local Michigan Resident Options:
Local Delivery by Amish Direct Furniture:
Amish Direct Furniture’s delivery team will bring your furniture to your home with a two-person crew. We strongly recommend inspecting your furniture at the time of delivery. If any defects are found, we will arrange for the necessary repairs. However, if a defect is reported more than 10 days after delivery, the cost of any repairs will be the customer’s responsibility.
Local delivery fees are based on the distance from our showroom, starting at $80 per half-hour of travel time. For example, if you live 30 minutes away, the delivery fee would be $80, and in-home setup is included. Additional charges may apply for larger items, such as bedroom sets, or for deliveries involving multiple pieces that require extended time.
Customers are responsible for measuring all relevant doorways, stairways, hallways, and other access points to ensure that furniture will fit upon delivery.
Customer Pickup:
For customers selecting in-store pickup, it is mandatory to thoroughly inspect the furniture upon collection and promptly identify any defects or damages requiring attention from Amish Direct Furniture. Customers assume full responsibility for lifting, positioning, and safely securing all furniture items for transportation upon taking possession. Amish Direct Furniture bears no responsibility for any damages or defects that occur after furniture has been inspected and possession transferred to the customer.
Customers must provide adequate protective padding and securing materials for transporting furniture, as Amish-made items are typically not boxed or otherwise packaged.
While Amish Direct Furniture staff may provide assistance for loading smaller items, orders containing larger pieces such as tables, dressers, or complete furniture sets require customers to take full responsibility for loading and securing their furniture. For these larger customer pickup orders, Amish Direct Furniture will assist by bringing items to the designated loading door; however, due to liability considerations, customers must handle the final loading, positioning, and securing of all furniture items for transportation.
All furniture orders must be paid in full prior to delivery or in-store pickup.
Out-of-State Resident Options:
Customers are responsible for measuring all relevant doorways, stairways, hallways, and other access points to ensure that furniture will fit upon delivery.
Curbside Delivery:
Curbside delivery offers a lower-cost option in which your furniture is delivered to your home but not brought inside. You may be required to assist in unloading the furniture from the truck, or you may be solely responsible for unloading it yourself. Any required assembly—such as setting up a dining table—will also be your responsibility.
In-Home Delivery (White Glove):
For in-home delivery and setup, we work with a specialized carrier, Furniture Transportation Limited (FTL). Once your order is picked up by the carrier, delivery typically occurs within 2 to 3 weeks. The carrier will contact you by phone, text, or email to schedule your delivery. Please ensure that your space is prepared in advance to receive the furniture.
