FEATURES
- Made of kiln-dried solid hardwood wood.
- Kiln-dried wood helps prevent warping, splitting, cracking and developing mildew.
- Finished by hand using an exclusive layering technique that results in beautiful depth of color.
- Is made-to-order and our craftsmen will follow your specifications from start to finish.
- Hidden pocket screws paired with mortise and tenon joints create quality not easily matched.
- Precision cut mortise and tenon joints ensure solid, durable structural integrity.
- Finished in our Standard Catalyzed Varnish. With this type of finish, your furniture is sealed in a durable coat that will last for years.
- The headboard is built of 1" solid wood sides and tops
- 2 doors for concealed storage, a mirror and 2 lights with an individual switch on each side.
- The platform features three 22" dovetailed full extension drawers per side along with a smaller fake front to accommodate a night stand on each side of the bed.
CARE OF SOLID WOOD FURNITURE
- Place your furniture away from radiators, fireplaces, and heating ducts.
- Position furniture out of direct sunlight or adjust blinds to avoid hour after hour of direct sunlight.
- Control humidity to 40%–45%. In winter use a humidifier, in summer use a dehumidifier or air conditioner.
- Avoid using nail polish remover, alcohol, and other solvents near or on furniture.
- Dust carefully with a soft cloth, following the grain pattern of the wood. Use an old T-shirt, baby diaper or cheesecloth that has been laundered to remove the sizing.
ROUTINE CLEANING AND CARE
- Dust often to remove everyday abrasive particles from wood surfaces.
- Consider cleaning with a mild non-alkaline soap and water. Use the suds in a damp sponge or cloth, but be sure to pre-test the solution on an out-of-sight section to make sure it doesn’t damage the finish. Dry immediately with a soft cloth and buff lightly, following the grain.
- Don't wax or use any polish that contains any silicones! Catalyzed heat and moisture resistant finishes don’t need additional polish, but if you want to use a polish we recommend Parker & Bailey's Furniture Cleaner.

This particular bed can not be customized to add drawers to the platform unit. You would need to go with something that is already built in that fashion.
What width of end table would this bed and headboard accommodate so all sets of drawers are accessible?

There is only 10 ¾" worth of space from the back of the headboard to where the first drawer starts.
California King is an option under bed size but no dimensions are listed for this size. Does this bed come in California king and if so what are the dimensions?

California Kings are 4 inches shorter in the width and 4 inches longer in the length compared to a regular sized king.
The length of the Queen is quoted at 66 1/2”. Does that measurement include the width of the headboard? If not, what is the total length of the platform, inclusive of the headboard ? Additionally, the headboard shows either a mirror or cut out between the shelving. It’s difficult to tell. Can you tell which ?

The size of the platform bed in a queen size, excluding the headboard, is 66 ½"W x 81 ¾"L x 16 ¾"H. The headboard features a mirror in the center. It is possible to request for a wooden back rather than having the mirror there. There is no charge for removing the mirror and having a wooden panel instead.

Unfortunately it is not possible to add a canopy to the Captains Mission Bed.

My husband and I purchased this Captains Mission Bed as it was the only one we could find that came in a California King size. We appreciate all the assistance we received while making the order as well as having all our questions answered promptly. Delivery and set up was exceptional, and we are so pleased with the quality of the bed! It is even more beautiful than the photo above. We love it! We won’t hesitate to shop here online again!
