The Signature Mission Utility File Cabinet is more than just another piece of furniture, its built like a ship. Mortise and tenon construction methods are used but its nothing ordinary.

Full Details

  • *Wood Choice

    Choose what kind of you wood you'd like your piece made out of. You can learn more about each different kind of wood. Woods shown are their natural tones. Different finish options are available on all wood types.

    *Knots

    On rustic woods, filled knots in tops are standard. Available to be filled in with black epoxy on the whole piece.

  • Drawer Locks

    Optional file drawer locks are available as well as gang style locks. The gang lock allows just one turn of the key lock to unlock up to three drawers at once.

    Drawer Glides

    Full extension side-mounted drawer glides are standard. Optional side-mounted soft close glides or undermount soft close glides are available.

  • Hardware

    Available with either knobs or handles.

    *Finish Choice

    *Two-Tone Description

    Select the primary stain as your choice and then describe how you would like your piece finished. If a premium finish is desired with a two-tone look be sure to select that premium finish as your primary choice.

    *Stain Choice

    Select the finish you would like the piece finished in.

    *Two-Tone Finishes

    Select the finishes you would like and enter where you like them in the two-tone description box.

    *Finish Samples

    Please select the samples you'd like to see. We can send up to 8 boards at a time.

    Optional Specialty Finishes

    Please choose if you would like any optional specialty finishes on your piece. You can choose one or more specialty finishes you'd like your piece to have. You can learn more about each different kind of finish.

    Paints and unfinished are also available. Use the message form to receive a quote.

    Distressing

    Distressing is a mixture of different techniques to create the look of antique furniture that has aged naturally into a beautifully patina.  

    Top Coat

    Our top coat is standard with Formaldehyde however you can request for a Formaldehyde free top coat. Formaldehyde free top coats are not bonded as well and are considered weaker than our standard top coat.

    Sheen

    Standard top coat is 30 sheen (semi-gloss). Available with your choice sheen level.

    Note: The natural oils from your hands can rebuff parts of the top coat making it glossy again on lower sheens.

The Signature Mission Utility File Cabinet is more than just another piece of furniture, its built like a ship. Mortise and tenon construction methods are used but its nothing ordinary. The post and rail joints have actual through tenons, the little tenon on front is not a plant-on, it is really part of the side rail. These through tenons provide a large glue surface resulting in a strong and sturdy joint that will last for years. The Signature Mission Utility File Cabinet continuously our most popular piece of furniture—is a prime example of long life.
